I've been under the weather, also buried at work, busy with the DFWAACC annual banquet on Saturday night, September 9th at the Westin Galleria, and the VPS Dallas Film Festival on Saturday September 16th at the UTA Lone Star Theater.

The banquet is this Saturday and we have close to 200 elected officials and expect to have about 850 to 900 people in attendance.

The film festival free admission to the public is sponsored by the UTA Office of Multicultural Affairs, a division of Student Affairs so if you are in the DFW area, come to the film festival from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Then you are welcome to join us for dinner with the cast members, directors and producers of the movies at Zander's House in Plano, Park at Central Expressway.
