Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. --- Theodore Roosevelt

I just finished listening to the audio book My Life So Far by Jane Fonda. One of my reasons for reading/listening to the book was to find out if she had really been saved and is a Christian. Rumors had it that was a big reason for her divorce with Ted Turner. Well, according to Jane, she does not believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and that she's more or less a universalist. Another reason for listening to the audio book was to give her the benefit of the doubt and let Jane "Hanoi" Fonda tell her own story. Americans of Vietnamese descent should know that she played a very big role in lobbying the US Congress to stop funding for the assistance of the Republic of Vietnam. "Communist sympathizer" are the two words that describe Jane Fonda very accurately. Let me summarize and put it this way: if I were not a Christian, who believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, who acknowledge the sovereignty of God and believe that all things work together for the good of those who love Him, I would say that the world would have been a better place had Jane Fonda not been born.
