We heard from state senator Florence Shapiro and senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in the morning before the first general session. Then we heard from state senator Todd Staples who is running for Agriculture Commissioner during lunch. And finally we heard from Texas secretary of state Roger Williams at the blacktie optional gala. Secretary Williams was introduced by George P. Bush, the president's nephew and son of Florida governor Jeb Bush. The secretary was a great speaker, couldn't have had a more inspirational speech. Afterward, we adjourned to the Spike bar one block south at the Mockingbird station for the after party. Here is me making a deal with the secretary:
