I got to meet a couple of the newly elected councilmembers: Laura Perkins Cox and Doug Athas at the Garland Open Dialog Dinner at Arc-en-Ciel tonight. I haven't seen Larry Jeffus since he was elected either so it was good to see him. First met Larry during the 2004 Pete Sessions campaign and then got to know him and his wife during the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York.
