Two incumbents lost in the primary: state representative district 101 Elvira Reyna in Dallas county and state representative district 94 Kent Grusendoff in Tarrant county. Ricky Grunden didn't make it to the run off for state representative district 63 in Denton county. Vic Cunningham lost the DA race in Dallas county and Bobby Francis lost in the race for place 8 on the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
