The first Asian American, Thomas Jefferson Lee of San Antonio, in 1964 became the first Chinese Texan from Bexar County elected to the Texas House of Representatives.

The second Asian American, Martha Wong of Houston, in 2002 became the first Chinese American woman elected to the Texas House of Representatives.

Martha is a Republican but I don't have any info on Thomas.
