It's an understatement to say that Farmers Branch councilman Tim O'Hare got a Texas size welcome and endorsement at tonight's Greater Irving Republican Club meeting. It's good to know that Farmers Branch police are ready to be trained in the 287(g) program. The Carrollton city council already voted 6-2 to join this program. Can't wait to see it enforced!

How can Carrollton vote 6-2 for anything? There are 7 voting Council persons allowed to vote on anything according to the Carrollton City Charter I swore to
protect back in 1996 and 1997 when I was sworn in as a City Councilman from Place 7.
The only way Mayor Miller can vote is to break a tie vote, 3-3, or 2-2. A 1-1 tie is not possible because a quarum would not be present with 4 people
out, or abstaining because of conflicts of interest, or being out of the room.
