Did you know that the NAACP was started by white Republicans and that most of the black colleges were also named after white Republicans? These are some of the interesting pieces of information shared by the Rev. Wayne Perryman, who is a black and considered himself an independent as far as political party affiliation is concerned, at the dinner last Friday as well as in his book "Unfounded Loyalty."
