With Alabama chief justice Roy Moore, the issue of state rights vs. federal government once again became a hot issue. It will be interesting to watch how the Supreme Court rule. I also wonder about the constitutionality of president Lincoln's power in the whole episode of the Civil War because each individual state is sovereign and only voluntarily bounded by the Constitution. Don't have time now but definitely will read more about in during the winter break.
